The TV anime Reincarnated as a Sword (JP: 転生したら剣でした, Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita) has officially announced its long-awaited second season, scheduled to premiere in 2026. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual has been revealed.

The teaser features Fran and Teacher on their journey toward a floating island, capturing the anticipation of the adventures awaiting them in Season 2.

The main staff from the first season will return, with animation once again handled by studio C2C. The series centers around a man reincarnated in another world not as a human, but as an intelligent weapon—a sword. Dreaming of finding a wielder, he spends his days gathering skills in solitude. However, after carelessly entering the mana-draining Forest of Exhaustion, he becomes immobilized and helpless.

It is then that he encounters Fran, a young Black Cat tribe girl who has been enslaved and mistreated. Attacked by a giant magical beast and cornered, Fran pulls the sword from the ground, gaining the power to escape danger. She names the sword “Teacher” and formally becomes its wielder.

Now adventurers, Fran and Teacher take on quests while honing their abilities. Fran seeks the strength needed to evolve, and Teacher strives to fulfill her wish. Thus begins the heartwarming and thrilling journey of a cat-eared girl and her doting sword companion!
