The hit anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (JP: 無職転生, Mushoku Tensei) will return for its highly anticipated third season in 2026. Picking up from Volume 13 of the original light novel, the new season promises even more emotional upheaval and dramatic adventures for Rudeus as he faces pivotal new chapters in his journey.

A teaser PV filled with fresh animation has also been released. The video features scenes that will intrigue fans, such as peaceful moments with Rudeus alongside Sylphiette and Roxy, their daughter Lucy, his mother Zenith and her maid Lilia, and his sisters Norn and Aisha. These calm scenes are contrasted with intense battle sequences that suggest major confrontations ahead.

Notable characters like the Dragon God Orsted make appearances, as well as new faces expected to debut in Season 3. Familiar cast members return, and at the very end of the PV, a certain character delivers a line that will hit home for readers of the original novel.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation follows a 34-year-old shut-in who dies in a traffic accident and is reincarnated as a newborn baby in a fantasy world of swords and sorcery. Reborn as the boy Rudeus, he sets out to live a meaningful life, confronting trials and forging bonds, all while carrying the memories and regrets of his former life. The story is a grand fantasy epic that explores personal growth, redemption, and adventure.

The anime's first season aired in two parts in 2021 (January–March and October–December). Season 2 also aired in two parts, from July–September 2023 and April–June 2024.
