AnimeJapan 2026 has revealed its official key visual ahead of the event, which will be held on March 28 and 29 at Tokyo Big Sight. The newly released visual brings together anime characters from 22 different titles, creating an energetic and lively composition that looks as if the characters are about to leap off the screen.

Among those featured are Yuru from Daemons of the Shadow Realm, Subaru Natsuki and Emilia from Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World, and Hikaru Gero and Mei Kinosaki from Marriagetoxin. The visual showcases a diverse lineup of popular characters, symbolizing the scale and excitement of AnimeJapan 2026.

Record Scale and Expanding Exhibition Areas

This year, more than 120 companies are confirmed to exhibit at AnimeJapan 2026, surpassing last year’s total. Major companies such as Aniplex, KADOKAWA, TOHO animation, Bandai Namco Filmworks, Toei Animation, and DMM.com are among the exhibitors. The overall exhibition scale will be the largest in the event’s history, raising expectations for a highly successful event.

Celebrating its 13th edition since its launch in 2014, AnimeJapan 2026 will once again be held at Tokyo Big Sight. In addition to the East Exhibition Halls used previously, the event will expand into the South Exhibition Halls and the Rooftop Exhibition Area, making it the largest venue configuration to date.

Event Schedule and Special Programs

The Public Days, where fans can enjoy company booths and stage events featuring popular anime titles, will take place on March 28 and 29. The Business Days, focused on business meetings and industry networking, are scheduled for March 30 and 31. The Family Anime Festa 2026, an admission free event featuring exhibitions and stages for families and children, will also be held on March 28 and 29.

As official ambassadors, Sakurazaka46 will appear at the awards ceremony for The Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking 2026 on March 4. The group will also actively promote AnimeJapan 2026 through official X and TikTok accounts and appear on stage during the event, supporting the festival both online and offline.

In addition, following last year’s success, AnimeJapan KICKOFF 2026 will premiere on March 16 at 8:00 PM. Hosted with narration by Yuki Kaji and Saori Hayami, the program will reveal the latest information about AnimeJapan 2026, including details about the AJ Stage lineup.
