BLEACH Final Cour Confirmed for July 2026 Broadcast as “Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity” PV Is Revealed

The final cour of the popular TV anime BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War, officially titled BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War – The Calamity, is set to air from July 2026 on the TV Tokyo network in Japan. Alongside the announcement, a teaser promotional video and a key visual were released, signaling that the story is entering its ultimate phase and the final decisive battle.

The newly unveiled visual features Ichigo Kurosaki and his allies as they prepare for the last battle, accompanied by the tagline “To those once called calamities.” The imagery emphasizes the gravity of the coming confrontation and the culmination of the long running conflict.

In addition, a special retrospective project titled TV ANIMATION BLEACH THE STORIES has been launched to look back on the anime’s long history. On the official BLEACH YouTube channel, episodes from the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc through the third cour of the Thousand Year Blood War arc, The Conflict, will be released sequentially. Ahead of this rollout, Episode 1 of the BLEACH anime has begun streaming for free starting today.

However, this free streaming campaign is limited to Japan only and is currently not available for viewers outside Japan.

The project will roll out extensive content, beginning with the release of a special visual that reimagines a series of Ichigo Kurosaki illustrations originally drawn by creator Tite Kubo, newly connected and rendered as anime style artwork. The initiative also includes free anime streams on YouTube, the release of past opening and ending theme videos, and roundtable interview videos featuring the main cast from each arc.

About BLEACH and the Thousand Year Blood War Arc

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, BLEACH follows protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki, who gains the powers of a Soul Reaper after encountering Rukia Kuchiki, and depicts his battles alongside his allies.

The manga has surpassed 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, and the franchise has expanded into games and a live action film released in 2018 starring Sota Fukushi. The TV anime originally aired from 2004 to 2012.

The final arc, Thousand Year Blood War, began its anime adaptation with the first cour airing from October to December 2022, the second cour from July to September 2023, and the third cour, The Conflict, from October to December 2024. The upcoming The Calamity will serve as the concluding cour, airing in July 2026.
