The sequel to the TV anime Tokyo Revengers has officially been announced as Tokyo Revengers: Three Deities War Arc (JP: 三天戦争編). Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and story synopsis were released, sparking anticipation among fans.

The newly revealed visual captures a powerful moment: a close-up of two bloodied hands tightly clasped. The intense emotion packed into this image hints at the stormy developments awaiting in the upcoming arc.

As part of the anime's 5th anniversary celebration, a special commemorative event titled “Ainimeka Kaikin Go Shūnen ( Anime 5th anniversary) & Formation Memorial Event” is set to be held on June 22. This annual gathering commemorates the founding of the Tokyo Manji Gang on June 19, and this year marks the 5th anniversary of the anime’s announcement. The event is planned as a way to thank fans for their continued support.

In addition, the first initiative of the 5th anniversary project—a live concert event titled “Yujo Live (Dachi Live)” held on February 2—will receive a delayed streaming release. The event concluded to great acclaim, and strong fan demand has led to the decision for this encore streaming.

Based on Ken Wakui’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022, Tokyo Revengers follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a down-and-out part-timer who travels 12 years back in time to his peak middle school days. Determined to save his murdered girlfriend and change his own cowardly past, he begins his life’s ultimate revenge.

The manga has exceeded 80 million copies in circulation. The anime aired its first season from April to September 2021, covering the 8/3 Conflict Arc and Bloody Halloween Arc. The second season, Christmas Showdown Arc, aired from January to March 2023, followed by the third season, Tenjiku Arc, from October to December 2023. The story has also been adapted into live-action films in 2021 and 2023.

Synopsis: Three Deities War Arc

The conflict between Tokyo Manji Gang and Tenjiku ends in tragedy. As the members carry their grief and move forward, Takemichi Hanagaki becomes haunted by the fearsome presence of the now-deceased Tetta Kisaki.

Manjiro Sano (Mikey), after hearing the full truth of the time leaps, makes a critical decision.

Having left the past behind, Takemichi finally reaches the best possible future—one in which his girlfriend Hinata Tachibana is alive.
