Petals of Reincarnation Anime Premieres in April With New Key Visual and PV, Announces Five Additional Cast Members Including Haruka Shiraishi and Kaito Ishikawa
The TV anime Petals of Reincarnation will begin airing in April on TOKYO MX, BS Nippon TV, and other networks. Alongside the broadcast announcement, the second key visual, second promotional video, five additional cast members, and opening and ending theme song details have been revealed.

The newly released second key visual features the main characters of the Great Men’s Grove, a group of reincarnated historical figures who pursue the goal of world peace. While all eight characters face the same direction, their individual combat styles and unique talents are meticulously depicted, resulting in a striking and detailed visual composition.

The second promotional video opens with a line symbolizing protagonist Toya Senji’s intense longing for talent. It showcases numerous scenes that convey the series’ worldview and appeal, while also introducing the core members of the Great Men’s Grove. The video concludes with an intriguing final cut focusing on the meaning behind Toya’s left arm.

The newly announced cast includes Haruka Shiraishi as A. Einstein, Kaito Ishikawa as I. Newton, Reina Ueda as F. Nightingale, Marina Inoue as Jubei Yagyu Mitsuyoshi, and Shugo Nakamura as Hiroshi Funasaka.
The opening theme has been confirmed as “Glitch” by eill*, while the ending theme is “Zero” by Sizuk. The second promotional video features not only newly recorded character voices but also an early preview of the opening theme song.

Haruka Shiraishi as A. Einstein
Haruka Shiraishi, who voices A. Einstein, commented that while she was captivated by the serious story development and intense battle scenes, she also found the everyday interactions among the historical figures charming and comical. She noted that the series constantly raises questions about justice and morality depending on perspective, making it a thought provoking work. She expressed her excitement about seeing Einstein and the others come to life in animation.

Kaito Ishikawa as I. Newton
Kaito Ishikawa shared that he looks forward to portraying both Newton’s cheerful and playful side as well as his sincere and compassionate nature. He added that the appearance of many famous historical names stimulates intellectual curiosity and joked that he plans to research thoroughly for the role, starting with apples.
Reina Ueda as F. Nightingale
Reina Ueda described Nightingale as a character who heals wounded members returning from battle rather than going to the battlefield herself. She noted that the healing scenes feel unexpectedly alluring and hoped viewers would enjoy Nightingale’s gentle yet distinctive personality.

Marina Inoue as Jubei Yagyu Mitsuyoshi
Marina Inoue stated that Jubei appears to hold special feelings toward Haito. She received direction to focus on the character’s unwavering core and intends to portray that strength with care.
Shugo Nakamura as Hiroshi Funasaka
Shugo Nakamura explained that Hiroshi Funasaka possesses the talent of immortality and often ends his sentences with a formal phrase, giving him a stiff manner of speech. Despite this, the character has a surprisingly charming side. Nakamura described the role as a personal challenge and said he devoted his entire energy to the performance.

eill, Opening Theme Artist
eill shared that after reading the original manga, she wrote “Glitch*” inspired by its themes. While “glitch” usually means a bug, she interprets it as a symbol of new possibilities that break away from what is considered normal. She expressed hope that the song conveys how each individual chooses how their talent blooms within the grand theme of reincarnation.
Sizuk, Ending Theme Artists
Composer Shun Ryu explained that the ending theme reflects despair, joy, conflict, and determination experienced by the characters as they inherit talents from historical figures and redefine justice. Vocalist AYAME added that she focused on expressing sorrow and beauty within the lyrics, aiming to convey vulnerability hidden within elegance.
