I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class has been confirmed to air starting in April 2026. Alongside the broadcast announcement, a key visual, promotional video, and the opening theme artist have all been unveiled.

The newly released key visual captures a moment in a school hallway featuring the introverted male protagonist Maki and the heroine Umi, known as the second prettiest girl in their class. The image subtly conveys the evolving relationship between the two characters.

Maki is voiced by Haruki Ishiya, while Umi is portrayed by Manaka Iwami. The latest promotional video highlights Umi’s charm while also depicting the lively and fun filled daily life she shares with her close friends. These include Yu, the class No.1 beauty voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro, and Nina, a mutual friend of Umi and Yu voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa.

The opening theme has been confirmed as “Submarine Youth” by the popular band reGretGirl. The song features an upbeat melody that perfectly complements the tone of this youth romantic comedy.
