The TV anime adaptation of I Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class (Japanese title: クラスで2番目に可愛い女の子と友だちになった; abbreviated as Kuranika) has officially been announced and is set to premiere in 2026. A teaser visual, announcement PV, and main cast lineup have been released in conjunction with the news.

Main Cast and Character Roles Revealed

The role of the introverted protagonist Maki Maehara will be voiced by Haruki Ishiya, while the titular second prettiest girl in class, Umi Asanagi, will be voiced by Manaka Iwami. Umi’s best friend and the class’s top beauty, Yū Amami, will be voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro, and Nina Nitta, a mutual friend of Umi and Yū, will be voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa.
