KADOKAWA has officially released the latest installment in the Once Upon a Witch’s Death novel series, titled Once Upon a Witch’s Death 3 - The Curtain Rises on an Endless Tale.

The story begins with the protagonist, Meg, receiving a terminal prognosis. In an effort to break her curse, she embarks on a journey to collect people’s “tears of joy” by using magic to solve their problems. Meg’s cheerful personality, her moments of struggle, and her unwavering determination to move forward and grow make this tale an inspiring read.

The anime adaptation is set to premiere on April 1, airing on TOKYO MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and AT-X.

Synopsis

A journey to discover the world and find her way home.

Meg’s remaining time, as foretold by Faust, is only six months. Feeling the weight of time running out, she encounters Eldora, the Witch of Calamity, who arrives in the town of Lapis. As Meg’s past is unraveled and her hidden connection to Eldora is revealed, the young witch makes the fateful decision to leave her master and embark on a journey.

To uncover her origins, explore the world, and gather tears of joy, Meg sets out on an endless adventure. Along the way, she experiences countless encounters and farewells, faces her own helplessness, and even suffers betrayal from those she has helped. Time and again, she witnesses sorrow.

Yet, the witch never lowers her gaze.
