Kenshi Yonezu has officially released the full performance video of “IRIS OUT,” the theme song for the theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc, following its debut at the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. During the year end music program, Yonezu delivered a visually striking stage performance featuring guest appearances by dance vocal unit HANA and a dramatic production in which he rode a shark inspired by Beam, the Shark Devil from Chainsaw Man. The large scale stage featured a total of 100 performers, creating a powerful and unforgettable spectacle.

The performance video was initially released on the official NHK YouTube channel for a limited one week period, where it surpassed 10 million views within six days. While fans expressed disappointment when the video was taken down, the long awaited archive has now been officially released on Yonezu’s own channel.

In addition, an archive video of a special music fireworks event has also been released. The event was held to celebrate the massive success of “JANE DOE,” the ending theme performed by Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada.

The music fireworks show was held in collaboration with the Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks in Tokyo starting on December 20. Set to the music of both “IRIS OUT” and “JANE DOE,” the fireworks illuminated the night sky in a specially choreographed display. The archive video captures the fireworks from multiple angles and includes exclusive frames featuring Denji and Reze, delivering an immersive viewing experience.

Despite heavy rain on the day of the event, a large crowd gathered to witness the show, making it a major success. Attendees shared emotional reactions online, with comments such as, “The transition from IRIS OUT to JANE DOE, combined with the gentle sound of rain falling with the music, felt like it reflected Reze’s emotions and brought me to tears,” and “I am glad I could see fireworks that reminded me of one of Chainsaw Man’s most iconic scenes.” Many praised how closely the fireworks production resonated with the themes of the film.
