Box office results for the theatrical anime film Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc, which opened on September 19, have been officially announced. After 103 days in theaters, the film has drawn 6.558 million moviegoers and earned more than 10.01 billion yen at the box office, equivalent to approximately 64.0 million dollars.

With this achievement, the number of films released in Japan in 2025 that have exceeded 10 billion yen in box office revenue now stands at four. The lineup includes Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc Chapter One Akaza Returns, Kokuho, Detective Conan One eyed Flashback, and Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc. Notably, three of these four titles are animated films.

Demon Slayer and Kokuho Lead Historic Box Office Performances

Released on July 18, 2025, Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc Chapter One Akaza Returns has become a massive hit, surpassing 38.71 billion yen in box office revenue, or approximately 247.4 million dollars. The film currently ranks second on the all time Japanese box office chart. Although its daily earnings pace has slowed, it is still screening nationwide, and expectations remain high that it could surpass the record held by Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train, which earned 40.75 billion yen or about 260.4 million dollars following its October 2020 release.
