Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc Anime Announced as Sequel to Reze Arc Film, Teaser Visual and PV Revealed
The Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc anime has officially been announced, marking the next installment in the globally popular dark action series. The announcement was made on December 21 at Jump Festa 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and confirms that the new project will serve as a direct sequel to the currently screening theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc.

Alongside the announcement, a striking teaser visual and promotional video were unveiled. The teaser visual depicts a group of assassins targeting Denji’s heart, capturing the ominous tone of the upcoming arc. In the PV, viewers see Makima sitting alone in a movie theater, followed by scenes featuring Denji and the assassins pursuing his heart. The video concludes with the official confirmation of the Chainsaw Man Assassins Arc anime production.

Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a young man living in extreme poverty while working as a Devil Hunter alongside Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The manga has surpassed 34 million copies in circulation worldwide and gained widespread acclaim for its shocking twists, sudden revelations, and bold storytelling. It ranked first in the Men’s category of This Manga Is Amazing 2021.

Part one of the manga, the Public Safety Arc, concluded in December 2020. Part two began serialization in July 2022 on Shonen Jump Plus. The television anime aired from October to December 2022. It has also been announced that the Reze Arc will be adapted into a stage play scheduled for July to August next year.
The currently screening theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc has achieved remarkable success, drawing 6.31 million viewers and earning 9.65 billion yen at the box office over 91 days from September 19 to December 18. The film has also become a major hit in more than 100 countries and regions, including South Korea and the United States.
