Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a young devil hunter living with his pet devil Pochita, as he struggles to repay his late father’s debt. After merging with Pochita, Denji is reborn as Chainsaw Man, a devil-human hybrid who hunts devils in a violent and emotional dark action series.
Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since December 2018, the series has sold over 30 million copies and was named the No.1 title in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2021 (Men’s Edition). The first part, “Public Safety Arc,” concluded in December 2020, with the second part now running on Shonen Jump+. An acclaimed TV anime aired in 2022, and a stage adaptation followed soon after.
The upcoming movie directly continues from the TV anime finale, focusing on Denji’s fateful encounter with Reze (a girl whose charm hides a dangerous secret) and the unpredictable path that follows.
