The popular anime series Is the Order a Rabbit? has officially announced a brand new anime project, which will be produced as a full length theatrical feature film. The announcement was accompanied by the release of the first teaser visual illustrated by character designer Akane Yano, along with newly revealed staff details.

The new anime project was first announced on March 1, 2025. This latest update confirms that the project will take the form of a feature length theatrical film. Hiroyuki Hashimoto will serve as Chief Director, Tensho will direct and write the screenplay, and Munenori Nawa will act as Assistant Director. Animation production will be handled by Bibury Animation Studios.

Is the Order a Rabbit? is based on the four panel manga by Koi, which is currently serialized in Manga Time Kirara MAX published by Houbunsha. The story depicts the daily lives of Cocoa and her friends as she lives and works as a waitress at the café Rabbit House.

The television anime first season aired from April to June 2014, followed by the second season from October to December 2015. The third season aired from October to December 2020.
