In the story, the “legendary idol” Kaito Hibiki—beloved across all ages—faces an unexpected crisis during his concert. Jogi, an enemy of the Idol Pretty Cures, suddenly appears. Kaito is devastated to learn that his close friend Kazuma has become Jogi, but he chooses to sing in hopes of restoring their bond.
His unwavering feelings for his friend trigger a momentary miracle. With the declaration, “Together we play the melody of the heart’s bond! Beyond the sky—Cure Connect!(JP:キミと奏でる、ハートの絆!空の向こうへ、キュアコネクト!)”, Kaito transforms into Cure Connect. His design gives off the dignified aura of a legendary idol, complete with a translucent turquoise-blue cape that evokes the clear, open sky where his songs once resonated.

He also shared his impression of the newly revealed visuals:
“Cure Connect’s design feels slightly more mature than the Idol Pretty Cures—someone you’d look up to. My first thought was simply, ‘He looks so cool.’”

Reflecting on the episode, Sakuma added:
“Episode 42 leaves a strong impression because it carefully portrays the friendship between Kazuma (Jogi) and Kaito. Even when friends fall out, if you face each other honestly, you can understand each other again. I hope everyone can feel the warmth of that friendship. And if something in your own life resonates with what you saw in the episode, I’d be delighted.”
