Episode 42 of You and Idol Pretty Cure (Kimi to Idol Prett Cure, キミとアイドルプリキュア♪), the 22nd installment in the Pretty Cure anime series, has released its story preview and early scene stills. Episode 42 Story

Kaito Hibiki’s long-awaited comeback concert tour has reached its final stop, with only the very last show remaining. The tour finale will take place at Hanamichi Stadium.
Uta Sakura (voiced by Misato Matsuoka) is excited about finally seeing Kaito again after so long—but at the same time, she worries. What if Kaito learns that Jogi is actually his close friend Kazuma?

That evening, as Uta and her friends are about to take her beloved dog Kyutarou for a walk, Kaito quietly slips into Café Glitter in disguise. Sensing the mood, everyone leaves them alone, and Uta ends up taking a walk with Kaito and Kyutarou. Stopping by a seaside park along the way, Kaito gives Uta souvenirs from his tour and explains why he chose Hanamichi Town as the final venue.

It is because he hopes to convey his feelings to Kazuma—his dear friend who he believes is somewhere in Hanamichi Town.
The day of the tour finale finally arrives. Uta and the others watch over Kaito’s performance from the audience, when suddenly… Jogi appears before them.

About You and Idol Pretty Cure

The theme of You and Idol Pretty Cure revolves around idols. With the belief that "Because you're here, I can shine and become stronger!", the Pretty Cure idols sing, dance, and engage with fans, using their performances to restore Kirakira to those who have lost it.

The story follows Uta Sakura, a second-year middle school student who loves to sing. One day, she meets Purirun, a fairy searching for the Idol Pretty Cure, the legendary savior of Kirakiland. Kirakiland has been plunged into darkness by Darkine, the leader of the Chokkiri Gang.

As the Chokkiri Gang begins stealing the Kirakira from townspeople, a desperate Uta declares, "I want to bring back the Kirakkiranran feeling! With my song!" Her determination resonates, and she transforms into the legendary Cure Idol.
