Set in the world of the globally popular MFG (Motor Fight Grand Prix) street race, the manga takes place the year after Kanata Katagiri (Takumi Fujiwara’s disciple) dominates the competition. Now, Subaru Sato from Gunma and Subaru Kudo from Kanagawa prepare to face off on the streets, continuing the saga of “the fastest on public roads.”

In the latest chapter, an unlucky collision brings the two “Subarus” together, leading to a heated exchange right from the opening pages.

Initial D (1995–2013) told the story of Takumi Fujiwara, who drove his father’s AE86 Trueno in battles against street racers across the Kanto region in pursuit of becoming the fastest on the road. Its sequel, MF Ghost (2017–2025), followed Kanata Katagiri, Takumi’s student from the U.K., as he challenged top racers known as the “Godly Fifteen” in Japan’s premier street race, MFG.
