Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since April 2020. Set in the unconventional timeline that begins after the Demon King’s defeat, the series weaves together deeply moving drama, memorable lines, intense battles with magic and swords, and touches of humor that bring warmth to the story. This unique blend has captivated a vast readership. The manga won the Manga Taisho 2021 Grand Prize, has sold over 30 million copies in total, and was adapted into a TV anime that aired from September 2023 to March 2024.

The first season concluded with Frieren, Fern, and Stark continuing their journey toward Aureole, the resting place of souls. The second season, premiering in January 2026, will adapt the story beginning from Chapter 61, featured in Volume 7 of the manga.
