In episode 3, Tanjiro, who has recovered from his injuries, visits the former Hashira, Uzui, to participate in the Hashira training. The story unfolds with Tanjiro quickly undergoing basic strength training despite the brief joy of their reunion.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc" covers the episodes from volumes 15-16 of the original manga, where Tanjiro and his friends undergo training from the highest-ranking swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira, to become even stronger.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga of the same name serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, and has surpassed a cumulative total of 150 million copies sold. The story is set in the Taisho era in a world inhabited by man-eating demons. It follows the journey of a boy named Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-turned sister Nezuko back into a human and to avenge his family killed by demons. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, becoming a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train," which continues from the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020, grossing over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021, followed by the third season "Swordsmith Village Arc" starting in April 2023.
