Hell Teacher Nube Anime & Manga Collab Announced: Saikyo Jump August Issue to Feature Exclusive Stickers of Yukime and Tamamo
The classic supernatural action series Hell Teacher Nube (original story by Sho Makura, art by Takeshi Okano) is making a comeback with a special anime and manga collaboration. It has been announced that the franchise will grace the cover of Saikyo Jump's August issue, released on July 4. As a bonus, the magazine will include exclusive Hell Teacher Nūbē: Kai stickers featuring newly illustrated artwork of Nūbē, Yukime, and Tamamo.

The collaboration in Saikyo Jump is likely a playful nod to the anime’s iconic opening theme, “Baribari Saikyo No.1” (“Absolutely the Strongest No.1”), from the original series.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, Hell Teacher Nūbē follows Meisuke Nueno, a psychic schoolteacher known as “Nube,” who wields a powerful demon hand to protect his students from supernatural threats such as yokai and evil spirits. With stories inspired by school horror tales and urban legends, the series gained popularity for Nube’s heroic battles to safeguard his students, ultimately selling over 29 million copies. It later spawned several sequels, including Hell Teacher Nube NEO (2014–2019) and Hell Teacher Nube S (2018–2021). The anime adaptation aired from 1996 to 1997, and in 2014, it was adapted into a live-action drama starring Ryuhei Maruyama from SUPER EIGHT.
Now, after a 26-year hiatus since the 1999 OVA Hell Teacher Nube: The Greatest Battle! The Arrival of Zekki!!, a brand-new anime series will premiere starting July 2, split into two cours. The story setting has been updated to reflect modern times. Voice actor Ryotaro Okiayu reprises his role as Meisuke Nueno (Nube), and animation production is handled by Studio KAI.
The series will kick off with a special one-hour, two-episode premiere airing on July 2 at 11:15 p.m. (JST). Following the premiere, new episodes will air weekly every Wednesday at 11:45 p.m. on the nationwide IMAnimation W programming block on TV Asahi. The second cour is scheduled to begin in January 2026.
