Based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, Jigoku Sensei Nube follows the adventures of Meisuke "Nube" Nueno, a teacher with a powerful "Oni no Te" (Demon Hand) who protects his students from spirits, monsters, and paranormal phenomena. Combining school-based horror, urban legends, and heartwarming heroism, the series became a cult classic, achieving 29 million copies sold.

The original anime aired between 1996 and 1997, while a live-action adaptation starring Ryuhei Maruyama (SUPER EIGHT) hit screens in 2014.

"To have Nube return as a new anime in this Reiwa era is truly exciting. The story has been updated to match the times, with the 5th grade, Class 3 students reflecting today's world. Fans can look forward to a fresh story while enjoying Nube's timeless charm."

Illustrator Takeshi Okano added:
"The new anime is finally here! I’ve been holding back for years since this project started, and now I can finally share it—what a relief! I’m so happy and can’t wait to see it!"

Fans of the series can anticipate both nostalgic elements and new developments as Jigoku Sensei Nube returns to haunt and protect a new generation of students.
