The teaser visual and PV for the upcoming Season 4 of the TV anime Osomatsu-san, set to air this July, have been officially revealed. Alongside the visual content, the fan-participation project “Matsudemy Awards” was announced, allowing fans to vote for their favorite episodes from Seasons 1 to 3. Additionally, a special commemorative program featuring Takahiro Sakurai and series composer Shū Matsubara will be streamed online.

The newly released teaser visual, illustrated by character designer Eiji Abiko, depicts the six Matsuno brothers casually relaxing inside a bus. The scene reflects their unchanged, easygoing everyday lives, suggesting the familiar chaos is about to begin again.

The teaser PV marks the first anime footage since the announcement of Season 4 in June last year. It captures the sextuplets lounging around at home during the summer heat, showcasing the signature laid-back humor and absurdity that define the Osomatsu-san series.

"Matsudemy Awards" Lets Fans Choose the Best of Osomatsu-san

To celebrate the start of Season 4, the “Matsudemy Awards” invites fans to vote for their favorite episodes from previous seasons. The awards feature nine categories, including character-focused categories like “Osomatsu Award” and “Karamatsu Award,” as well as unique ones such as “Legendary Idiot Award,” “Cried the Most Award,” and “Best for Beginners Award.”

Votes can be cast without any limits via the official Osomatsu-san website. Fans are encouraged to vote as many times as they like for the episodes they love or believe are must-sees. The top nominees in each category will proceed to a final round of voting on X (formerly Twitter), where the winners will be selected. The award-winning episodes will later be streamed in a special compilation on the anime’s official YouTube channel.

Talk Show Featuring Sakurai and Matsubara Airs Tonight

The commemorative talk show “Takahiro Sakurai and Shū Matsubara’s One-Take 40-Minute Talk!” will premiere tonight at 9:00 PM JST on the official Osomatsu-san YouTube channel. The program will delve into Season 4’s highlights, behind-the-scenes recording stories, and a candid exchange of questions between the two guests, who have both played central roles in the series for nearly a decade.
