The third season of the anime Shangri-La Frontier (commonly abbreviated as Shanfro) has been officially confirmed. Alongside the announcement, a commemorative visual was unveiled to celebrate the news.

The newly released image features protagonist Sunraku seated regally in a throne-like chair at the center, flanked by his companions who are all dressed in sleek suits. From left to right, the line-up includes Arthur Pencilgon, Rust, Emul, Mordo, the ever-armored Saiga-0, Akitsu Akane, Oicazzo, and Psyger-0—each contributing their unique charm to the ensemble.

As for Sunraku, while he attempts to strike a cool pose, his attire doesn’t quite hold up. Thanks to the lingering curse of Lycaon, his suit explodes off his body, leaving him in his signature half-naked look, now accessorized only with a bow tie—taking his already eccentric vibe to an entirely new level.

The story of Shangri-La Frontier centers around Rakuro Hizutome, an avid gamer with a peculiar taste for playing notoriously terrible games. He turns his attention to Shangri-La Frontier, a massively popular VR game boasting over 30 million players. The anime adapts the hit manga series currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, which has achieved the unprecedented feat of topping four different reader polls and has surpassed 11 million copies in circulation.

With the series gaining continued momentum, fans can look forward to more thrilling battles and offbeat antics as Sunraku and crew dive deeper into the virtual world of Shangri-La Frontier.
