The popular anime Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is set to return with a sequel to its second season, officially titled Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2, starting this July. The new episodes will air nationwide across 28 TBS-affiliated stations every Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

About Hanako-kun

Based on the manga serialized in Monthly G Fantasy (Square Enix), the series has sold over 10 million copies and continues to captivate fans with its blend of school life and the supernatural. The story centers around Hanako-kun, the ghost of a boy rumored to haunt a school bathroom, and Nene Yashiro, a girl who summons him hoping to have her wish granted. Together, they unravel various mysteries tied to school legends.

The anime adaptation first aired in January 2020. A reboot project was announced in the winter of 2022, followed by the broadcast and global streaming of the short anime After-School Hanako-kun in fall 2023 and 2024. The main second season, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2, aired from January to March 2025, and its sequel is now set to continue the story this summer.
