The original anime series Twisted Wonderland: The Animation will be available exclusively on Disney+ starting October 2025. Alongside the premiere of its first teaser PV, the cast announcement of Yohei Azakami as the protagonist, Yuken Enma, has been officially revealed.

The teaser introduces viewers to the enchanting world inspired by classic Disney villains, beginning with a scene of the mysterious "Dark Mirror" and glimpses of legendary characters like the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), Scar (The Lion King), Ursula (The Little Mermaid), Jafar (Aladdin), the Evil Queen (Snow White), Hades (Hercules), and Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty).

In the story, Yuken Enma, a kendo club member at Tokyo Metropolitan Hibari High School, finds himself mysteriously transported on a full-moon night via a pitch-black carriage to an entrance ceremony at the elite magic academy, Night Raven College, located in a parallel world known as Twisted Wonderland.

Night Raven College is composed of seven dormitories, each modeled after one of the "Great Seven"—legendary figures from the world’s past. These dormitories draw inspiration from Disney villains:

Heartslabyul Dorm: Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), representing strict discipline

Savanaclaw Dorm: Scar (The Lion King), embodying resilience

Octavinelle Dorm: Ursula (The Little Mermaid), symbolizing benevolence

Scarabia Dorm: Jafar (Aladdin), emphasizing wisdom

Pomefiore Dorm: Evil Queen (Snow White), pursuing beauty with determination

Ignihyde Dorm: Hades (Hercules), known for diligence

Diasomnia Dorm: Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), reflecting lofty ideals

Upon his sudden arrival, Yuken is greeted by the school’s headmaster, Dire Crowley (voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto). Unaware of the world of magic, Yuken tries to flee, only to be met with the astonished stares of the dorm leaders. A humorous yet chaotic scene unfolds as Grim (voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama), a monster who dreams of becoming a magician, bursts into the ceremony. Tension rises when Riddle (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), the stern leader of Heartslabyul Dorm, furiously reacts to the disruption Yuken causes. How will Yuken handle this unexpected conflict?

The teaser also features the anime’s opening theme, Piece of my world by Night Ravens—the same track used in the original game. The music for the anime is composed by Takumi Ozawa, who also worked on the game’s soundtrack and will provide newly composed tracks specifically for the series.

The teaser marks an exciting first look at the anime adaptation, combining captivating visuals and music to fully immerse fans in the world of Twisted Wonderland.
