The anime adaptation of The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Japanese title: 『薫る花は凛と咲く』) will begin airing in July. A promotional video (PV) has been released to commemorate the announcement, offering a glimpse into the gentle yet heartwarming tone of the series.

Based on the manga of the same name by Saka Mikami, the original story began serialization on the manga app “Magazine Pocket” (Kodansha) in October 2021. Set in a town where two contrasting high schools stand side by side—a rough all-boys school, Chidori High, and a prestigious all-girls school, Kikyo Girls' Academy—the story follows Rintaro Tsumugi, a tough-looking student at Chidori, and Kaoruko Waguri, a refined girl from Kikyo, as they navigate their high school lives in a tender and romantic coming-of-age story.
