"Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube": A Legendary Series Returns After 26 Years
Based on the manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1993 to 1999, "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" follows Meisuke Nueno ("Nube"), a teacher equipped with supernatural abilities from his "Demon Hand," fighting to protect his students from evil spirits and yokai. The manga achieved immense popularity, with over 29 million copies sold, spawning a TV anime adaptation (1996–1997) and a live-action drama in 2014 starring Ryuhei Maruyama.
The new anime adaptation marks the series' return after 26 years, adapting the setting for contemporary audiences. Ryotaro Okiayu reprises his role as Meisuke Nueno, with Studio KAI in charge of animation production.
