The second season of the hit TV anime Kaiju No. 8 will premiere on TV Tokyo in July 2025. A newly released key visual features Narumi Gen, the leader of the First Division, holding his specialized weapon, hinting at the calm before an intense battle.
Compilation Film and Bonus Screening
In addition to the Season 2 announcement, a Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 compilation film will be screened alongside Hoshina’s Day Off, a bonus feature, for a limited three-week run starting March 28, 2025. The theme song for Hoshina’s Day Off will be OneRepublic's Invincible.

Serialized in the Shonen Jump+ app since July 2020, Kaiju No. 8 takes place in a world plagued by kaiju disasters, with Japan being one of the most affected countries. The story follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old cleaner of kaiju carcasses, who dreams of joining the Defense Force. His life changes when a mysterious organism transforms him into a kaiju, earning him the codename "Kaiju No. 8."
