The synopsis and scene cuts for the second episode of the TV anime "Kaiju No. 8" (TV Tokyo) have been released.

In Episode 2, "The Monster That Kills Monsters," Kafka, who has transformed into a monster after being parasitized by a mysterious small kaiju, fears being hunted down by the Defense Force and flees the hospital with Reno. During their escape, they encounter a mother and child being attacked by a monster. Kafka confronts the monster without hesitation and strikes it with all his might.

"Kaiju No. 8" is set in a world where disasters (monsters) relentlessly invade everyday life, with Japan having one of the highest monster emergence rates in the world. Kafka Hibino, the 32-year-old protagonist who works cleaning up the corpses of monsters slain by the Defense Force, dreams of becoming a "Defense Force soldier." After being transformed by a mysterious organism, he is known within the Japan Defense Force by the codename "Monster No. 8." The series began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in July 2020 and quickly surpassed 30 million views, the fastest in the app's history. The total print run of the comic books has surpassed 13 million copies, making it a flagship title. Additionally, "Kaiju No. 8" won the Grand Prize in the "Web Manga Category" of the "Next Manga Award 2021" user voting event on August 24, 2021, and the first volume's annual sales topped the charts for 2020.
