Musical 'Fate/Zero' Announces Full Cast of 14; Hiroaki Araki Cast as Kiritsugu Emiya and Yuka Akino as Saber
New details for the upcoming musical Fate/Zero: The Sword of Promised Victory have been announced, including the full cast, creative team, and performance schedule. Alongside key visuals of Kiritsugu Emiya and Saber, the production also released ensemble visuals for all seven factions, individual character images, and a promotional video.
Main Cast and Character Lineup for Part One, The Sword of Promised Victory
The lead cast comprises 14 actors. Playing the protagonist Kiritsugu Emiya is Hiroaki Araki, while Yuka Akino plays the Servant Saber. Other members of Emiya's faction include Yuka Yamauchi as his wife Irisviel von Einzbern and Minami Tsukui as his assistant Maiya Hisau.
For the Tohsaka faction, Yusuke Toyama portrays Tohsaka Tokiomi, with Harumi Okuyama playing the summoned Servant Archer. Kirei Kotomine, Tokiomi’s disciple who operates in secret alongside Assassin, is portrayed by Ryo Kitazono.
In the Clock Tower faction, Kei Yuuichi plays Lord El-Melloi Archibald, with Teruma taking on the role of his Servant Lancer. The character of Ryunosuke Uryu, who unwittingly becomes a Master, is played by Yoshihide Sasaki, with Metal Yoshida as the Servant Caster whom he summons by chance.
In the Matou faction, Kento portrays Kariya Matou, who enters the Holy Grail War with Berserker under a unique pact. Raima Hiramatsu plays Waver Velvet, a student of the Clock Tower who takes on the role of a Master. His Servant, Rider, is portrayed by Yuji Kishi.
A Unique Musical Experience
Music director Takeshi Sakabe composed the entire score for the musical, featuring live instrumentation, including bagpipes and cello, to bring the world of Fate/Zero to life on stage. Choreography is by Ulan Hirosaki, a renowned artist known for her diverse background as a director and choreographer. In addition, the official website, X, and Aniplex’s official YouTube channel have released a promotional video featuring background music from the Fate/Zero anime, composed by Yuki Kajiura.
Since its debut in 2004 with the original PC game Fate/stay night, the Fate series has remained a beloved franchise through multiple spin-offs and media adaptations. Fate/Zero, a prequel novel written by Gen Urobuchi, was first published in 2006 and adapted into a TV anime from 2011 to 2012. The musical adaptation sees Urobuchi himself as script supervisor, with Hideo Nishimori handling the script, direction, and lyrics, adding depth to this unique theatrical experience.
