Live-Action Series "Knuckles" Packs Action with Sonic and Tails in New Trailer and Stills
The new trailer and scene photos for the upcoming live-action original drama series "Knuckles," soon to be exclusively streamed on 'Paramount+', have been released. Additionally, starting today (17th), 'Paramount+' has been added to Amazon's 'Prime Video Channels', allowing Amazon Prime members to access all content on 'Paramount+' for a monthly fee of 770 yen (including tax).
"Knuckles" follows the globally popular Sega game series that inspired "Sonic the Movie" and its sequel "Sonic the Movie/Sonic VS Knuckles". It features "the strongest warrior," Knuckles, who became Sonic's ally in "Sonic VS Knuckles". The series spans six episodes, detailing events that occur between the second and the upcoming third movie.
Unlike the blue Sonic, Knuckles is a red echidna who initially appeared as Sonic's rival. However, by the end of the second movie, he had joined forces with Sonic and Tails, a kind-hearted fox with two tails, to protect the peace of the universe.
The newly released trailer reveals a glimpse into the story beginning with Knuckles' departure on Earth. After the world was saved and peace was restored, he quickly grew bored of his tranquil life. Driven by his desire for battle as "the strongest warrior", he takes Tom's clumsy colleague, Wade Whipple, as his apprentice and sets out on a journey.
However, a henchman of the evil genius scientist Dr. Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey), who appeared in the movies, attacks with intentions to steal Knuckles' power. Although Knuckles had promised to protect Earth with Sonic and Tails, his fate is yet to be determined. The trailer teases an action-packed and humorous story, heightening expectations with appearances from Sonic and Tails as well.
