[TOKYO GAME SHOW] Abu Dhabi Gaming Debuts at Tokyo Game Show 2024, Showcasing UAE’s Expanding Game Industry
Abu Dhabi Gaming, established by the Abu Dhabi government to foster and grow the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) gaming industry, has announced its first-ever participation in the prestigious Tokyo Game Show 2024. As part of its efforts to spotlight the rapidly expanding gaming and esports industries in the UAE, Abu Dhabi Gaming will showcase four leading game studios at the event. These studios will present innovative game titles and creative developers to Japanese consumers, game distributors, and potential partners.
According to Abu Dhabi Gaming, the city of Abu Dhabi is increasingly gaining recognition as a hub for the gaming world. This growth is largely driven by the comprehensive gaming value chain that Abu Dhabi Gaming is developing. The UAE studios participating at Tokyo Game Show include Khosouf Studios, Kashkool Games, Hypemasters, and Afterwork Games. These studios will exhibit unique and cutting-edge games developed within Abu Dhabi’s gaming ecosystem.
By participating in the Tokyo Game Show, Abu Dhabi Gaming aims to transform the UAE into an attractive destination for game distributors, developers, and esports organizations, while positioning it as a strategic gateway for the gaming industry in the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
First held in 1996, the Tokyo Game Show is now in its 33rd edition and is recognized as one of the largest gaming trade shows in the world. Following the end of E3, North America's biggest gaming expo, in 2023, the Tokyo Game Show's prominence in the gaming industry has only increased. According to the event's organizers, this year’s show will be the largest ever, with a record number of international exhibitors, making Abu Dhabi Gaming's participation timely and aligned with current trends.
