Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Konohana Ward, Osaka City, unveiled the summer limited-time event 'One Piece Premier Summer 2024' to the press on July 1st. The event officially starts on July 3rd.

The first-ever 'One Piece Premier Show 2024' features an array of 'ONE PIECE' themed content, delivering an incredibly thrilling live show. For the first time in the history of the premier show, an original story featuring Luffy’s ultimate form 'Gear 5' is revealed.

The formidable enemy targeting Luffy is the park-original "Crimson Bolster," voiced by Kaito Ishikawa.

Invited guests were mesmerized by the live-action performances of the Straw Hat Pirates, thrilled by the enemy’s attacks, and captivated by the life-and-death battles. The immersive experience had the audience cheering and waving towels with the show's original designs in unison to support the Straw Hat Pirates.

In the fierce battle, as the Straw Hat Pirates' special techniques clashed, the sound of the 'Drums of Liberation' resonated. Luffy, putting his soul on the line, finally activated 'Gear 5'. Guests witnessed Luffy's comically powerful upgraded abilities in 'Gear 5', leading to smiles and loud cheers from the entire audience.

At the end of the show, a special greeting session was held where Luffy and his crew approached the audience seats, waving and high-fiving excited fans.

In addition to the show, other attractions were introduced, such as the story coaster 'One Piece x Hollywood Dream - The Ride ~ Sea King Attack! Feel the Thrill of Gear 5 ~', 'Straw Hat Pirates Banquet Restaurant', and 'Sanji's Pirate Restaurant', along with limited edition food and merchandise.

One Piece Premier Show 2024' Storyline

During their voyage, the Straw Hat Pirates hear rumors of treasure on an island they stop at for supplies. However, it turns out to be a trap set by a dangerous mercenary group, the 'Crimson Soldiers', who aim to capture Luffy for their ambitions. With their friends taken hostage, the Straw Hat Pirates launch a rescue mission. The mercenaries, mocking the dreams of each crew member, continue their relentless attacks. Now, Luffy and his crew must fight for their dreams and their friends with all their might!
