【Japan Travel】 USJ Unveils Yoriichi Zeroshiki from "Demon Slayer" - Incredibly Realistic Automaton on Display
Universal Studios Japan has unveiled the incredibly realistic automaton Yoriichi Zeroshiki, which will be exhibited in the new themed restaurant "Swordsmith Village Hyottoko-tei," where guests can experience the world of the anime "Demon Slayer" through food.
At USJ, two major attractions allow guests to fully immerse themselves in the world of "Demon Slayer": the VR coaster "Demon Slayer XR Ride: Dash Through the Swordsmith Village" and the story coaster "Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc x Hollywood Dream – The Ride," available from July 19 to January 5 next year.
Yoriichi Zeroshiki is a combat automaton featured in last year's anime "Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc." Created by the ancestors of Kotetsu, the swordsmith boy responsible for its maintenance, it has six arms to replicate the movements of a real swordsman. In the story, Tanjiro and Muichiro train by fighting Yoriichi Zeroshiki.
The Yoriichi Zeroshiki on display showcases meticulous attention to detail by USJ's development team, perfectly recreating the damaged arms from Muichiro's intense training, the texture of the automaton, and the state it was in when reactivated for Tanjiro's training.
At "Swordsmith Village Hyottoko-tei," visitors can enjoy special menus crafted to honor the valor of the Hashira, including Muichiro and Mitsuri, in a retro Taisho-era-inspired setting with stained glass-style windows. Guests can also experience the thrill of encountering the life-sized Yoriichi Zeroshiki.
