Fukui Prefecture and The Pokémon Company have announced the launch of a mystery-solving event titled "Solve Mysteries with Dragonite in Fukui: Where Will You Go with Dragonite?" as part of the Pokémon Local Acts initiative, starting on July 21, 2024.

Participants will board Echizen Railway trains operating in Fukui Prefecture, explore the city while solving puzzles, and progress through the story by finding the next destination in this interactive mystery-solving event. Alongside "Fukui Support Pokémon" Dragonite, participants can enjoy a nature-rich trip through Fukui while solving mysteries. The participation fee is 3,000 yen (tax included) for adults and middle school students and above, and 2,400 yen (tax included) for children and elementary school students. The fee includes a mystery-solving kit and an Echizen Railway mystery-solving one-day free pass. From the 21st, the Dragonite Train will start operations on Echizen Railway. The interior design has been revealed, and participants can enjoy encounters with the Dragonite Train while solving puzzles. It should be noted that riding the Dragonite Train is not necessary for progressing in the mystery-solving event.
