Star Detective Precure! Episode 24 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Rei Kaneda Investigates Mysterious Incidents at School, Perfume Created to Restore Cure Eclair’s Memories

The story and preview images for Episode 24 of the new anime Star Detective Precure! (JP: 名探偵プリキュア！), the 23rd installment in the long running Precure series, have been revealed. The episode will air on July 12 at 8:30 AM (JST).

Episode 24 Story

In the laboratory beneath the Curett Detective Agency, Jett-senpai begins creating a perfume using the fragrance of flowers in an effort to restore Cure Eclair’s memories.

Meanwhile, strange rumors are spreading throughout Makoto Mirai Academy. In addition to the urban legend claiming that “the Great King of the Seventh Month will appear and destroy the world,” students are whispering about mysterious incidents, including a skeleton moving in the science lab, a piano playing by itself in the music room, and paintings crying tears in the art room.

Asked by the school chairman to investigate the incidents, Anna Akechi and Mikuru Kobayashi begin searching the school with student council president Rei Kaneda, who volunteers to help.

Although they find no clues in either the science lab or the music room, Rei senses that something is off. In the art room, she notices that the positions of plaster statues and canvases have changed. Realizing the source of the strange inconsistencies, Rei shares her observations with Anna and Mikuru, helping them unravel the mystery behind the series of bizarre incidents.

Introduction

Star Detective Precure introduces the first detective themed Precure storyline in the franchise and is set primarily in 1999. The protagonist Anna Akechi is a 14 year old second year middle school student living in Makoto Mirai Town. On her birthday, she encounters a fairy named Pochitan and is guided by a mysterious pendant found in her room, triggering a time slip from the year 2027 back to Makoto Mirai City in 1999.

There, Anna meets another 14 year old girl, Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a great detective. When a series of incidents begin to occur, the two girls find themselves unable to ignore people suffering from stolen treasured possessions. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure, solving mysteries with the catchphrase “That mystery will be cured” while protecting smiles through sharp deduction and searching for clues that may allow Anna to return to her original time.
