The story summary and preview images for Episode 1 of the TV anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance (JP: 魔法少女リリカルなのは EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance), the first new entry in the series in eight years, have been revealed. The anime will begin broadcasting on July 5 at 1:00 AM (JST) on TOKYO MX and BS11, with the premiere airing as a 60-minute special.

Episode 1 Story

In Episode 1, "Shiina Kuze Origin: The Reason a Girl Living on a Remote Island Came to Live as a 'Majin' and the Story That Begins There," the story follows Shiina Kuze, a hunter girl who attends high school on a remote island while handling the extermination of "invasive species". She lived a peaceful life with her younger sister, Setsuna, but an attack by a mysterious man wraps Shiina up in a fate surrounding the "Majin".

Introduction

Thirty years ago, the world was on the brink of destruction due to the sudden emergence of an unknown, aggressive alien species. Humanity and these entities, known as the "Invader Species," have been locked in a fierce struggle over living territory ever since. Although a fragile sense of safety is currently maintained for mankind, the world remains on a knife-edge, vulnerable to collapse at any moment. Living in constant fear of death and ruin, people go about their daily lives trying to look away from the looming dangers and disasters.

In the midst of this fragile reality, the United Nations Hazardous Organism Investigation Agency, known as "EXCEEDS," has launched operations to neutralize the threats and disasters brought about by the Invader Species.

The story begins in "Mizuho," an island nation in the Far East. Shiina Kuze is a young Invader Species hunter living on a remote island. Her only wish is to live a quiet life with her younger sister, Setsuna—the sole remaining member of her family. But what kind of incident awaits Shiina as destiny knocks on her door?
