Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reveals New Character Details for First Full TV Anime in 8 Years, with Comments from Yukari Tamura and Nana Mizuki

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha returns with its first brand new television anime in eight years as new character information has been officially revealed for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance, scheduled to air in July.

New TV Anime Marks First Completely New Entry Since 2018

The anime series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha will debut a completely new television installment titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance. This marks the first fully original anime entry since the theatrical film Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation, which was released in 2018.

The newly revealed information focuses on four central characters who have led the Nanoha series since its early days. These include Nanoha Takamachi, voiced by Yukari Tamura, Fate Testarossa, voiced by Nana Mizuki, Hayate Yagami, voiced by Kana Ueda, and Rein Yagami, voiced by Yukana. After celebrating the 20th anniversary, I am truly delighted to be able to play Fate again in a TV anime. As the powerful title suggests, the story delivers nonstop shocking developments from the very first episode. The tension in every episode is overwhelming, and I found myself in tears many times. This work has a different kind of intensity and weight compared to previous Nanoha series, so I hope everyone looks forward to the broadcast.

■Kana Ueda
It has been a long time since the last television series, and I recorded every episode with excitement. In this work, Hayate has the most mature atmosphere she has ever had, yet you can still catch glimpses of parts she cannot quite hide, which I find very charming. As the Governor General of EXCEEDS, I will do my best both gently and stylishly in a truly lyrical and magical way.

■Yukana
It has been a long time, everyone. Eight years since the movie and nineteen years since the TV series. I am so happy to meet you all again. This time, with Hayate now grown up, Rein has grown as well and will do her best. I am especially happy about being called by the official name Rein Yagami, which always warms my heart. About the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Series

Originally launched as a television anime in 2004, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a long running and highly popular anime franchise. The story follows Nanoha Takamachi, an ordinary third grade elementary school student whose life changes dramatically after she gains magical powers. From that moment, the series portrays Nanoha as she faces extraordinary battles and an unexpected destiny brought about by magic.

Over the years, the franchise has expanded across multiple media formats including manga adaptations, video games, and theatrical films. In July of last year, a special project was launched to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime series.
