Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a long running and highly popular anime franchise that first began airing in 2004. The story follows Nanoha Takamachi, an ordinary third grade elementary school student whose life changes dramatically after she gains magical powers. The series depicts Nanoha as she navigates an extraordinary destiny brought about by her newfound abilities.

The franchise has expanded across multiple media, including manga, games, and feature films. In July of last year, a major project was launched to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the TV anime.

Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance marks the first completely new animated installment in eight years, following the 2018 theatrical release Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation.

Nana Mizuki’s Comment

I have been eagerly waiting for a new Nanoha project. I was already incredibly happy just to be able to play Fate again in a TV anime, but to also be entrusted with the theme song truly means so much to me. The song features a solid and passionate rock sound that resonates with the fierce convictions of the girls who survive in a harsh world, combined with an emotional and flowing melody. It is a Nanoha song with a fresh new approach. I also handled the lyrics this time, so I hope everyone will enjoy how the words begin to link more deeply with the story as it unfolds.
