New "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" TV Anime Announced After 6 Years

A brand-new TV anime for the popular "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" series, titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance, has been officially announced. This marks the first full-length animation project for the series in approximately six years, following the 2018 theatrical release Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation.

The announcement was made during today’s special program, Mikako’s Room: 20th Anniversary Special, broadcast on TOKYO MX. The new title incorporates the themes of “Gun,” “Blaze,” and “Vengeance,” signaling the beginning of a new story arc.



Additionally, a teaser video was revealed, commemorating the series' 20th anniversary. The detailed storyline and character roster will be disclosed at a later date.

Further, a new original comic titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS is set to begin serialization in Kodansha's Sirius magazine in 2025. A special animated video featuring the first 18 pages of the comic’s debut chapter will premiere at the Lyrical Collection event starting January 11, 2025.

About "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha"

Since its debut as a TV anime in 2004, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha has captivated audiences. The story follows Nanoha Takamachi, an ordinary third-grader whose life changes dramatically after gaining magical powers, setting her on a path of extraordinary adventures.

The franchise has since expanded into manga, games, and films. This year, in celebration of its 20th anniversary, a commemorative project launched in July, bringing the series to new heights.
