■Riko Akechi as Shioriko Shinokawa
“I will never forget the first time I encountered Shioriko. It was when I was in my first year of middle school. I remember being captivated by the profile of a beautiful woman I saw through the glass of a rotating bookshelf filled with paperback books near the entrance of the library.

Even being invited to audition felt like great fortune, so receiving the unexpected news that I had been cast was truly a life changing moment for me. I am deeply honored to be part of this work and will give it my all. Thank you for your support.”

“This work has been adapted across various media, and now it is finally becoming an anime. The characters are portrayed very realistically, and you naturally get drawn into its world. I personally love old books, so hearing Shioriko speak about them makes me want to pick up a book again. With my natural physique and sincerity, I will do my best. Go, Daisuke.”

■Original Author: En Mikami
“For an original author, media adaptations are always something to be grateful for, and I felt honored when the series was adapted into a drama and film. I did hope to see it as a TV anime someday, but I thought it would only happen if fortune truly aligned. Now that wish has come true, I am deeply moved. The staff and cast are sincerely engaging with the original work, which gives me great peace of mind. I am very much looking forward to the broadcast.”

■Original Illustrator: Hagu Koshijima
“Sometimes visual information evokes a sense of smell or atmosphere, and I felt the same way watching the teaser PV for the TV anime. It reminded me of my visit to Kita Kamakura for research. It was a hot day just before the rainy season began. As a viewer, I am truly excited to see the full anime.”

■Director: Mamoru Kanbe
“My hobby is photography. I love photography itself, but I also love the equipment. Technically, any equipment should suffice, but using gear you truly like feels wonderful. Over time, I realized something interesting. I began to prefer lenses that don’t produce perfect images, with dark edges or blur. It may be hard to understand, but those who share this taste will likely smile and agree.”

■Assistant Director: Ayako Kurata
“I am honored to be involved in the production of The Case File of Biblia Bookstore. I believe it is a work where time flows gently, yet passes in an instant. Please look forward to it and wait patiently for the broadcast.”

■Series Composition: Toshiya Ono
“I had heard of the title but had never read it before. When I was asked to write the script and read it, I felt not only nostalgia but also a sense of sadness, as if this atmosphere no longer exists anywhere. The purity, modesty, and thoughtfulness within it, along with the passion hidden beneath, inspired me to preserve it through animation. I believe it will resonate deeply in today’s world. Please look forward to it.”

■Character Design and Chief Animation Director: Jun Nakai
“I first learned about this work through Shioriko’s profile in the original illustrations. I am excited to bring her to life in animation. Together with the staff, I hope to carefully portray the characters while valuing expressions and performances unique to animation.”

■Music: Takahiro Obata
“This marks my fourth collaboration with Director Kanbe, and I am truly happy to work again with such a wonderful team of staff and cast. I composed the music while sharing ideas with the director on how best to express the world of The Case File of Biblia Bookstore through sound. I hope you will also enjoy the music.”
