Haikyu!! Original Art Exhibition Announced for Tokyo

It has been announced that Haruichi Furudate Haikyu!! Exhibition: Challengers, an original art exhibition based on the popular volleyball manga Haikyu!!, will take place at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo from October 30 to January 11, 2027.

The series, created by Haruichi Furudate, follows high school students dedicating their youth to volleyball. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020 and has surpassed 75 million copies in circulation worldwide, including digital editions. Even after its conclusion, the series continues to receive overwhelming support both in Japan and overseas, expanding across various media including anime adaptations.

Revisiting the Story Through Art and New Illustrations

This will be the third original art exhibition for the series. The exhibition will revisit the journey and growth of characters centered around Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, along with the challenges faced by those striving to reach the “view from the top.” Visitors will be able to experience the story through Furudate’s valuable original manuscripts as well as numerous newly created illustrations prepared specifically for this exhibition.

In addition, the first key visual drawn by Furudate for the exhibition has been revealed. It is based on a scene from Chapter 370, “Challenger 2,” depicting Hinata and Kageyama during their final spring high school volleyball tournament. The visual features four third-year Karasuno High School students: Hinata, Kageyama, Kei Tsukishima, and Tadashi Yamaguchi.

The official website and official X account will launch today at 8:50 PM. Further details, including ticket information, are scheduled to be announced this summer.
