Wait… Maomao and Jinshi as idols?!. The Apothecary Diaries April Fools: Maomao and Jinshi Debut as Idol Groups bubbles and Edel Glanz

As part of a special April Fools campaign for the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries, a concept movie with voice performances and accompanying visuals were released on April 1. The project imagines the series characters debuting simultaneously as two idol groups: the new girls group bubbles and the boys group Edel Glanz.

According to the setting, both groups debut under Lee Entertainment, a fictional agency known for producing globally successful artists.

bubbles: A Next Generation Girl Crush Group

The group bubbles consists of three members. Maomao serves as the leader and rapper, Shisui takes the role of visual and main dancer, and Xiaolan is the main vocalist. Positioned as a next generation girl crush group, the trio is expected to achieve global success.

Their official catchphrase is “Pop Your Heart!”, expressing their bold and captivating concept. Even before their debut, the three members had already gained attention for their composed presence and powerful performances.

Edel Glanz: A Royal Style Boy Group

Edel Glanz is a classic style boy group composed of Jinshi as the leader and visual, Basen as the main dancer, and Lihaku as the main vocalist.

With the catchphrase “Bringing you heavenly brilliance,” the group combines a refined royal atmosphere with overwhelming stage performances that captivate fans.

About The Apothecary Diaries

The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao, a pharmacist’s daughter with an unusual obsession with poisons and medicine, and Jinshi, a mysterious and handsome eunuch, as they solve a series of complex incidents within the imperial court.

The original work is written by Natsu Hyuga with illustrations by Touko Shino. The series has surpassed 45 million copies in circulation. Production of Season 3 and a theatrical film sequel has already been announced.
