“The Apothecary Diaries” Collaboration Train Debuts on Tokyo’s Yamanote Line Special Movie Features Maomao and Jinshi Promoting Ibaraki Prefecture
Ibaraki Prefecture has launched a collaboration with the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries, rolling out an advertising train on Tokyo’s JR Yamanote Line starting today, November 16.

Ibaraki Prefecture is currently developing various tourism promotions under its new branding concept “IBARAKI is Blossoming.” As part of this initiative, it collaborated with The Apothecary Diaries to release a special promotional movie and began the stamp rally event “IBARAKI is Blossoming The Apothecary Tour Record” on October 25

As another key component of the campaign, an AD Train will operate on one full 11-car E235-series train on the JR Yamanote Line.
Inside the train, digital signage will show the collaboration’s key visuals and the special movie created between “IBARAKI is Blossoming” and the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries. The already released movie has been specially re-edited for the AD Train, upgraded into a powerful three-screen display. In addition, the video introduces the ongoing stamp rally “IBARAKI is Blossoming The Apothecary Tour Record” and includes the newly revealed collaboration visual announcing the production of Season 3 and a theatrical film adaptation of The Apothecary Diaries. Passengers can enjoy a unique atmosphere where the charm of Ibaraki merges with the world of the anime throughout the entire train.
“The visual depicts Maomao and Jinshi traveling among the blossoming flowers of Ibaraki, sharing the prefecture’s appeal as a travel destination,” the promotion explains.
