The second installment of the The Apothecary Diaries “Halloween 2025” project, featuring a brand-new visual and mini voice drama, was released on October 30. This time, the spotlight is on Gaoshun and Basen dressed as werewolves.

The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao, a pharmacist’s daughter with an obsessive curiosity for poisons and medicine, and Jinshi, a mysterious and handsome eunuch. Together, they unravel a series of perplexing cases inside the imperial palace. The original light novel is written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Nekokurage. On October 22, a special PV celebrating the anime’s second anniversary announced that production is underway for both the third season and the series’ first feature film.

In this second Halloween visual, Gaoshun and Basen take on the roles of werewolves who transform under the full moon. With sharp claws, gleaming fangs, fluffy ears, tails, and fur, the two head out for the night’s hunt.
