Tank Chair Anime Announced for October 2026 by Polygon Pictures, Teaser PV and Visual Revealed

Tank Chair (JP: 戦車騎士, Sensha Isu)anime has officially been announced, with the TV series set to air in October 2026. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual, promotional video, and scene cuts have been released.

Based on the manga Tank Chair, the story follows Nagi Taira, a once unstoppable assassin who fell into a coma after protecting his younger sister from gunfire. The condition for his awakening is being targeted with killing intent. Believing that an overwhelming surge of murderous intent will fully awaken him, his sister Shizuka Taira takes him along on intense “rehabilitation” battles against powerful enemies.

The anime adaptation is produced by Polygon Pictures, known for its high-quality CG animation.

Staff and Production Details

The project brings together an experienced creative team with notable works in the anime industry.

Tadahiro Yoshihira, also known as Tady, serves as director, series composition, and scriptwriter. His previous works include Star Wars Visions Volume 3 The Bird of Paradise and Knights of Sidonia Love Woven in the Stars.

Co directing and scriptwriting are handled by Hiroaki Ando, known for Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Ajin Demi Human.

Character design is by Yuki Moriyama, recognized for work on BLAME and Ajin. Production design is led by Kazuma Teshigawara, who has contributed to Star Wars Visions Volume 3 The Bird of Paradise and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea.

The music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama, known for Drifting Dragons, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans, and Mashle.

The anime is produced by Polygon Pictures.
