So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? Anime Adaptation Announced for October, Starring Kikunosuke Toya, Yoko Hikasa, and Azusa Tachibana

The fantasy anime So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? (JP: 転生ゴブリンだけど質問ある？) will premiere in October following the announcement of its television anime adaptation. The series is based on the manga currently serialized on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and the main cast information were also revealed.

TV Anime Adaptation Announced with Main Cast

The story’s protagonist Akira will be voiced by Kikunosuke Toya, while Karen will be played by Yoko Hikasa, and Chloe will be voiced by Anzusa Tachibana. The newly released teaser visual offers a first glimpse into the anime adaptation of the popular fantasy manga.

A Goblin Reincarnation Fantasy with Overwhelming Power

The series follows Akira Yagami, an office worker who is highly trusted by his subordinates. After dying, he is reincarnated as a goblin, the weakest race in the world. Normally, goblins have a lifespan of only seven days. However, Akira receives a special ability called Human 80 Years, which grants him the lifespan of a human.

Thanks to this skill, Akira inherits numerous abilities from goblins who pass away before him, gradually growing stronger. As his power develops, various beings including demons, elves, and even dragons begin to gather around him.

What begins as the rebirth of the weakest race soon transforms into an overwhelming fantasy adventure where a goblin rises to unimaginable strength.
