Chainsaw Man Part 2 to Conclude with Final Chapter on March 25 on Shonen Jump Plus

Chainsaw Man Part 2 will reach its conclusion on March 25 when the final chapter is released on the manga app Shonen Jump Plus. The announcement appeared on the last page of the update published on March 11, confirming that the next update scheduled for Wednesday, March 25 will be the final chapter. The second part of the series, which began serialization in July 2022, will close its story after three years and eight months.

The top page of Shonen Jump Plus also announced a commemorative campaign celebrating the completion of Chainsaw Man Part 2. As part of the campaign, forty nine chapters from the second part are currently available to read for free on the platform.


Chainsaw Man follows the story of Denji, a boy who works as a devil hunter together with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita. Living in extreme poverty while trying to repay the debt left behind by his parents, Denji forms a contract with Pochita and is revived as Chainsaw Man, a being with a devil’s heart. From that moment, he fights as a dark hero who hunts devils threatening the world.

The manga first began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018 and has surpassed 34 million copies in circulation. Its sudden revelations and shocking plot developments quickly attracted attention, and the series ranked first in the male readers category of the manga guidebook This Manga Is Amazing! 2021.

The first part of the story, known as the Public Safety Arc, concluded in the magazine issue released on December 14, 2020. The second part began serialization on Shonen Jump Plus in July 2022. A television anime adaptation aired from October to December 2022, and the series has also been adapted into a stage production.

In addition, the theatrical film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc is currently in theaters and has become a major hit with box office revenue surpassing 10.7 billion yen. A sequel anime titled Chainsaw Man Assassin Arc has also been confirmed to be in production.
