Detective Conan New Film to Open in Franchise’s Largest-Ever Theater Count, Surpassing Last Year — “Limit Break” PV Released
Detective Conan Fallen Angel of the Highway will hit a franchise record with 526 theaters across Japan as its explosive Limit Break PV is revealed ahead of the April 10 release.

The 29th installment in the Detective Conan theatrical series, Detective Conan Fallen Angel of the Highway, will open simultaneously in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema formats. The film is scheduled to screen in a total of 526 theaters nationwide, including 382 standard theaters, 62 IMAX locations, 11 MX4D screens, 61 4DX theaters, and 10 Dolby Cinema venues. This surpasses last year’s 522 theaters, marking the largest scale release in Conan history.
IMAX and 4D Visuals Bring the Action to the Limit

Alongside the announcement, an IMAX exclusive poster visual has been unveiled. It features Hagiwara Chihaya speeding forward on a police motorcycle amid flying sparks. True to the tagline, Do not get thrown off, Conan can be seen riding behind her. A glimpse of Ran in danger heightens the tension, creating a thrilling and dynamic visual.
In addition, a 4D Limit Break screening poster has been revealed, evoking an experience that pushes immersion beyond its limits. The visual suggests an overwhelming sense of presence unique to large format screenings.
A new Limit Break PV has also been released, condensing the film’s most spectacular action scenes. Opening with Chihaya’s line, Hold on tight, boy, the trailer showcases high speed motorcycle chases, massive explosions, and an intense bike battle between Angel and Lucifer. The footage highlights the overwhelming scale and impact audiences can expect on large format screens.
Special Yokohama Visuals and Story Details

Newly illustrated highway visuals have also been revealed. Featuring a turquoise blue palette reminiscent of Yokohama’s sky and sea, the main characters appear adorned with wing motifs symbolizing the Angel theme. Nine special character visuals have been unveiled, including protagonist Edogawa Conan, main character Hagiwara Chihaya, and supporting characters such as Yokomizo Jugo and Sera Masumi. The fresh and stylish coordination reflects the seaside setting of Yokohama.

Set in Kanagawa Prefecture’s Yokohama, the story begins when Conan and his friends visit the Kanagawa Motorcycle Festival. A mysterious black motorcycle suddenly runs wild before them. Pursuing it is Chihaya Hagiwara, a white bike officer of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Traffic Riot Squad and the Wind Goddess once seen by Ran.
At the festival venue, a new high tech white motorcycle named Angel is unveiled. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, the black motorcycle known as Lucifer once again goes on a rampage. The film depicts the fastest battle mystery in history as the Wind Goddess Angel faces off against the Black Fallen Angel Lucifer.
