Narrated by Shinpachi Shimura voiced by Daisuke Sakaguchi, the video opens with a straightforward explanation: aliens known as Amanto have arrived in Edo, the city where Gintama is set. After the sudden invasion of these extraterrestrials, a sword prohibition decree was issued, leading to the steady decline of the samurai.

The video introduces the Yorozuya trio who run an odd jobs business in Edo: the legendary samurai Gintoki Sakata voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, Kagura voiced by Rie Kugimiya, a member of the powerful Yato clan, and Shinpachi Shimura, whose glasses are his trademark charm point.
The serious tone does not last long. Shinpachi candidly admits that the series has been pushing boundaries while battling various behind the scenes constraints. The footage then cuts to unforgettable comedic moments, including the funeral episode from the TV anime episode 231 titled Funerals Surprise You the First Time Because Everyone Is Surprisingly Cheerful, where Gintoki and Hijikata hilariously suck on shellfish with blank expressions.

The montage also teases a suspicious figure resembling a straw hat pirate king, though it is actually Gintoki in a scene from Gintama The Final. These outrageous and forbidden parody scenes are shown alongside a caption clarifying that the Yorozuya have indeed fought real enemies properly. The video balances absurd comedy with glimpses of their hard won battles.

A Serious Turn in the Underground City of Yoshiwara
The tone shifts dramatically as footage from the new film reveals its serious core. Set in the underground red light district city of Yoshiwara, also known as Yoshiwara Paradise, a place that has lost the light of the sun, the story shows Gintoki being stopped by an oiran while new scenes feature the Shinsengumi and Katsura, who were not depicted in the original manga version of this arc.
Shinpachi explains that this is a completely new film featuring the Shinsengumi, the Joi rebel Katsura, and even Kagura’s older brother Kamui. The Yorozuya also take aim at the distributors who previously handled Gintama, continuing their signature meta humor.
Kagura jokes that they are trying to make one last big profit with Gintama, prompting Shinpachi to shout that the comment is too real, while Gintoki adds that thanks to such circumstances they can still rampage even in the Reiwa era. Their trademark back and forth comedy highlights the deep bond between the three.
The video further showcases intense action, including Kamui confronting Hosen, Gintoki covered in blood with a kunai piercing him, and the fierce determination of Kagura and Tsukuyo.
Gintoki and his allies throw themselves into a brutal battle against the overwhelming power of Yoshiwara’s ruler, the Night King Housen, and the deadly Kamui. With a fearless grin, Kamui clashes against them, while Kagura ignites her Yato blood to stop her brother. Gintoki rises again and again for the sake of his comrades as the Yorozuya engage in a fierce fight.
